Buzz Cafe receives 5 out of 5 stars

Buzz Cafe is located in beautiful Yaletown which is in beautiful Vancouver.  Even before I walked in I was full of awe as a saw the outside architecture which is designed like a warm cosy brick house. Then when you walk in and see the huge windows and the two floor cafe you will agree that you have walked in the best cafe in Vancouver.

I don’t know where to start.  The high-quality beverages and high quality breakfasts or lunches which are homemade and priced right.  Or should I start with describing the art gallery that is upstairs where you can sit on chairs or couches and enjoy your tea or latte or meal.  The furnishings are elegant and majestic.  I don’t think I need to say more.

Caffè Artigiano much better than 49th Parallel Coffee

After the horrible experience at 49th Parallel Coffee. We were so happy to give Cafe Artigiano 5 out 5 stars.

Artigiano is Italian for artisan, a person immersed in craft who through practice achieves cafeexcellence using their hands, head and heart in all that they create. At Caffè Artigiano, we have been dedicated to crafting the perfect cup of coffee since opening in 2000. Our Italian-themed coffeehouse and bistro quickly climbed its way to success, gaining a reputation for serving artisan-inspired coffee beverages and delectable foods. We continue to set high standards in the many locations that serve you by embracing innovation while maintaining the traditional Italian persona that has become so comfortable and familiar. This is where Caffè Artigiano started, and this is where it stands today.

They have several locations.  Please visit their website here http://www.caffeartigiano.com

Kafka’s Coffee is fantastic

kafkas vancouver

Aaron Kafka likes to educate his customers a little bit every time they visit. “We strive for transparency,” he said. Kafka will tell you the exact location your coffee is from, and will even give you the farmer’s name.

The place opened on Main Street four years ago by Kafka himself, and much of the shop’s interior design reflects his own personal style. The contrast of the chestnut coloured wooden flooring against the white walls brings forth a contemporary feel.

“We focus a lot on art as well,” said Kafka. The coffee house is also an art gallery, featuring different artwork every six weeks. The opening day for the exhibits attract over 100 people on their own. Kafka is a big respecter of art, and his passion extends to the art of coffee.

JJBean Cafe Review

I am sure you’ll agree that no one likes songs that say
“take me home with the girls are pretty”
and songs promoting drug use and violence.  Several years ago many were offended at the violent songs that JJ Bean plays. We called management and they said it will not happen again; however we came back to the Davie Street location and they still play violent offense music.  I spoke to the manager who has tattoos and he likes songs that say
“take me home with the girls are pretty”
Please join us in boycotting JJbean café and promote professionalism and decency.

That is just the iceburg. He is friends with another manager who runs a café, which I complained about their violent music. The owner gave me a 20 dollar gift card but the man I complained on started harassing and stocking me. He is friends with Jonnas. Today when I spoke to Jonnas and shared my concern in a professional and polite manner he screamed at me and told me that I was banned. He had no problem taking my money in May and June, but when I made a complaint, he became very hostile.

Instead of Jonnas today apologizing for the bad experience he became hostile and even mentioned that I have filed a complaint on his friend in the past. Then Jonnas hung up in my face. Jonnas is aware that I have spent hundreds of dollars at his location and tipped close to 100 dollars.

Thank you for reading my JJ Bean Review

UPDATE: JULY 5TH 2014

We wrote to John Neate, who is CEO of JJ Bean and his response was extremely disgraceful and clearly stated that he supports
1) the song: “take me homes where the girls are pretty”
2) supports the unprofessional and mean-spirted actions of Jonnas who hung up in my face and screamed at me saying “you are banned” after I called him to speak to him about my customer complaint
3) supported the refusing a refund of 5 dollars for a lattee I had after the above incident.
4) John Neate replied to a customer complaint stating that he did admit that he happily took my money for several months but does support the above 3 points
5) Not only did John Neate support the above 4 points but after happily taking several hundreds of dollars from me, John Neate asked me to not return to his coffee shops after filing a complaint regarding a song that states “take me homes where the girls are pretty” and you also threatened me
John Neate claims to be a Christian

Dear Friends in Christ. I have been a christian for years and work with the homeless. However recently I saw an article in Light Magazine interviewing John Neate who is the founder of JJ Bean Coffee shops. Here is the article

http://www.lightmagazine.ca/index.php?page=public.viewarticle&nArticlesID=318

However. Recently I filed a complaint because JJbean plays music from singers who have offended many. Such as Guns and Roses. However when I filed a complaint on a song that JJbean played which says: “take me homes where the girls are pretty” by Guns and Roses. John Neate not only supported the song but banned me from being a customer in the future. Not even a pagan would do that. Let alone a Christian. Could be that John Neate just wants the business from Christians?

IF some of you are not aware of Guns and Roses. They have been offending 1000’s in the past. Not only Christians but the general public.

In 2012 they caused outrage over Guns N’ Roses promotional poster depicting woman who has been raped on a sidewalk

Then regarding their album: The graphic used for the ads was actually a toned down version of the cover for their ‘Appetite for Destruction’ album, which showed an unconscious woman with an exposed breast and her underwear pulled down.

So I ask you not to be a lukewarm christian. The bible clearly says that Jesus will spit out any lukewarm Christian. Contact john@jjbeancoffee.com and demand that he apologizes for the songs that he supported and demand he apologize and refund the money of the good citizen he banned when that citizen complained. No christian would do that. I pray you take the side of truth and not popularity.

John Neate CEO of JJ Bean banned a Middle-Eastern man for a music complaint

JJbean had music on their speakers which was very offensive with lyrics such as “take me home where the girls are pretty”.
We wrote to John Neate, who is CEO of JJ Bean and his response was extremely disgraceful and clearly stated that he supports
1) the song: “take me homes where the girls are pretty”
2) supports the unprofessional and mean-spirited actions of a manager called Jonnas who hung up in a Middle-Eastern man’s face and screamed at me saying “you are banned” after the Middle-Eastern man called him to speak to him about a serious customer complaint
3)  refused to offer a refund of 5 dollars for a latte that the Middle-Eastern Man paid
In conclusion. John Neate of JJ BEAN did admit that he happily took the money from a Middle-Eastern customer for several months. John Neate happily taking several hundreds of dollars from the customer.
What is MOST SHOCKING is that John Neate asked the Middle-Eastern Man to never return to his coffee shops just because the middle-eastern man filed a complaint regarding an offensive song that states “take me homes where the girls are pretty” and then  threatened me
The Middle-Eastern man is Christian and for years has worked with the homeless, so when we saw John Neate on youtube who was being interviewed as a “Christian” we were shocked
Watch John Neates here claim he is a loving citizen.  What about the middle-eastern you distressed and threatened?

However when a Middle-Eastern man filed a complaint on a song that JJbean played which says: “take me homes where the girls are pretty” by Guns and Roses. John Neate not only supported the song but banned the Middle-Eastern Man from being a customer in the future. Not even a pagan would do that. Let alone a Christian. Cafe Musette in Vancouver

musette cafe

Musette Caffe is truly one of Canada’s top cafes.  They serve the finest beverages and the finest pastries.  In addition they serve delicious lunches and salads.  They cater to the everyday cyclist and will provide bike locks for outdoor parking and a security camera that can be viewed from inside. In addition, there will be room for 8-10 bike inside the cafe. They plan on serving 49th Parallel coffee which is a great choice. Plus they make the best homemade power bars, traditional sandwiches, and sweet goodies.

And if that is not enough, they have big TV Screens that will show all the cycling races throughout the year. Their moto is MUSETTE CAFE REVIEWWe Eat and Drink to Ride!.  Located in the Vancouver West End on Burrard Street, near Pacific.

The staff is very knowledgeable about coffee and their bikes. The entire cafe is inspired by cycling and bikes. Different “musettes” adorn the walls and other bike memorabilia. Still, this place is great for non-velo-afficionados as well. The coffee is top notch, the ambiance is great and the food is all made/baked in-house. The scone had a pretty interesting flavor, cheddar furikake? Whatever it was, it was delicious. I usually get black drip coffee as this place does it extremely well. This place also boasts free WiFi and even a kiddie table for your young ones, equipped with toys and coloring books. All in all, best coffee in the area without the usual pretentious coffee snob vibe.
